Christmas 2015: What I Look Forward To

Tuesday, December 15, 2015

THIS BLOG HAVE BEEN MOVED TO ANOTHER SITE. TO READ THE REST OF THIS POST, CLICK HERE.

Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. It's filled with so much joy and laughter. It's one whole month where things don't seem so stressful. Well aside from finals week of course. It's 30 days of giving and being nice. Because all of the other 335 days people don't care, at least some people. Christmas makes the meanest Scrooge and the worst Grinch come to life and experience Christmas for what it really is. Christmas is a sign for a new beginning for some people. After all, New Years Day is the week after Christmas. It just feels so great to have a holiday where giving is more important than receiving. This world is turning so selfish. It's good to know that myself and others still can feel that wonderful, giving Christmas spirit when it comes to the holidays.

Finals are over! Thank the Lord! Now, we wait. The next worse thing to Finals Week is the days or week you have to wait in order to know your final grades for the semester. Did I pass my final? Did I not pass my final? Do I have to take something over? Do I have any C's? Not knocking C's. C's get degrees, but no one likes C's. While I await my final grades to be posted, guess what I will be doing? Listening to this week's Music Mondays: Christmas Edition playlist. Next Friday is Christmas! Where has the time gone? I have to so much to do, so much to plan, in so little time. If you haven't gotten a present for your boyfriend yet, don't worry girlfriend, I have the perfect Holiday Gift Guide for you. So while you're on the way to Wal-Mart, Best Buy, or Target, jam to these classic holiday tunes in your car.

#MusicMondays: Christmas Edition

Monday, December 7, 2015

It's finals week! You know what that means? My life is about to get 10 times harder. I am so excited to be done with this semester but I am SO nervous about taking all my finals. If I can just pass my Accounting final then my life would be complete. I'm excited for the new year and the new semester. The spring semester is always easier for me. It has been ever since high school. We expect to get a Winter Storm during February-March so I expect to have many delays and closings.

How to: Prepare for Finals Week

Sunday, December 6, 2015

Finals, Finals, Finals. Don't ya just hate them? It's one long week of ultimate stress. Whether it's 50% of your grade or 10% of your grade, you're stressing out because you need a great G.P.A. for medical school, a Major requirement, a scholarship, or maybe you're one of those people that just want a great G.P.A. It's important that we do well on our finals. But let's get serious, finals drive us insane. 100 questions on this test. That test isn't even multiple choice! What?! No multiple choice?! Imagine that laying on your conscious all week. Without the positive encouragement of others and your basic essentials needed to prepare for finals, you'll be walking, talking, thinking way too much! Good thing you have Aiming 2 Inspire to tell you some awesome ways to prepare for finals.

5 Things I'm Thankful for This Year

Thursday, December 3, 2015

My Thanksgiving was awesome! Mostly because of the food and family I was surrounded by. This Thanksgiving was our first Thanksgiving at home. I usually go over my grandmother's house. Usually everyone goes over an elder house to eat for Thanksgiving. But spending it at home this year was really a blessing. So much happened over the break from Adele's new album, all of the #ThanksgivingwithBlackFamilies memes, and enjoying the Thanksgiving parade, all that good stuff.

Becoming a Virtuous Woman: Why You Shouldn't Wait on A Man Who Isn't Ready

Wednesday, December 2, 2015

I started my Becoming A Virtuous Woman blog series two weeks ago. My intentions for this series are to encourage women to have more self-love, self-respect, and just love who they are now and what all they will become in the future. It's important that we encourage each other and help each other in life. It's important that we learn values and morals and how and when to use them. Women and men are afraid of commitment. Whether you're committing to a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship or you're trying to boost it up on to marriage, committing for both sexes can be challenging. But ladies, what about the men that use the line, "I'm not ready to be in a relationship right now". What does that really mean? How do we take that? What do we do with that piece of information? Well, you'll be surprised at how many women don't take that as a warning sign. Here are reasons why you should:

Favorite Fall Nail Polish

Tuesday, December 1, 2015

Everyone has a favorite nail polish for the fall. I know today kicks off December but we're still experiencing some fall temperatures. Fall colors consist of brown, orange, dark green, and even a burgundy sandy color. I enjoy the tones and moods fall colors set for us. Its so peaceful and relaxing. Even in December, in the South anyway, leaves are still on the branches yet are thet are beginning to fall.

3 Signs That You're Stressed

Wednesday, November 25, 2015

Hello beautiful people! Happy Tuesday! Finals are coming up! And for those of you who are not in college, the Christmas Holidays are coming up! You're stressing about that important class you don't want to fail, that math class you hate, why you don't want to go over your in-laws for Thanksgiving, and how you're going to get everyone something they love and appreciate for Christmas. Well, while you're up all night thinking about all that you've created for yourself a headache that just won't grow away. Stress can creep up on you at the times you most need to be positive. Regardless of what you're about to go through in the next few weeks, you need to understand the symptoms of stress that you might have. Everyone doesn't respond to stress in the same ways but when I'm stressed, here are 3 signs when I know I need to calm it down.

#MusicMondays

Monday, November 23, 2015

Hello lovelies. This is has been one crazy week. From getting everything together with School, going to early Christmas concerts, getting sick *sad face*. I am writing this post from the comfort of my bed. It is 28 degrees where I am and I can truly say it officially feels like winter although winter doesn't start until December 2nd. I checked the weather forecast for this week and its suppose to warm up a bit. It even suppose to be like 68 degrees on Thanksgiving day so thats exciting. I'm actually looking forward to thanksgiving this year.  Not just for the food, but for just being extremely thankful for everything God has put into my life. What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

Okay, this is the playlist for this week. I wanted to pick some songs that were kind of a laid back groove. This is week is meant for family and relaxation especially for us college students so I wanted to make the playlist as easy listening as possible. Of course you know I had to throw some jams in there. This playlist could be perfect if you're having friendsgiving at your house or apartment this year. You can play this playlist while you cook or while you're eating dessert. I don't know bout you all but after Thursday I will be cranking out the Christmas carols. I am so ready for Christmas its ridiculous.

Boyfriend Gift Guide 2015

Tuesday, November 17, 2015

READ THIS POST AT MY NEW SITE. CLICK HERE.

Having a hard time trying to figure out what you're going to buy your boyfriend for Christmas? Well don't worry, cause Tanisha B. has got your back! Purchasing gifts for a boy can be really hard sometimes. Its so easy for them to go out and buy something for us. Girls love anything sparkly, cute, and definitely something they could put to some good use... like a good eye shadow palette. But boys are different. They don't have a lot to choose from and you don't want to get him something that's similar to what you got him last year or for his birthday. So I've looked around in the stores and I've discovered some gifts that I think some guys would appreciate this year.

#MusicMondays

Monday, November 16, 2015

It's Monday again! This is the last week of school until Thanksgiving break! I am so happy to be done with this semester. Well, almost done. I've cried, studied, cried some more, prayed, and I've learned alot academically and personally about myself. I've discovered new music this week. I've heard Missy Elliott's new song. It is amazing. She was trending on Twitter for like two days straight. I haven't seen the video but I've heard the song. Adele's album comes out this week, I think. It's either Thursday or November 25th. I think it's the 25th though. I went back and listened to her 21 album and discovered One and Only. That song definitely connects with me right now. And after listening to it on repeat for like an hour, I realized that you can't force anyone who isn't ready to be with. In the song, she's be giving for a chance to love this guy but I'm guessing he's got trust issues, so he doesn't want to be in a relationship right now. But if someone is making themselves vulnerable and available to you, turning them away is just...not smart. But anyway! Hehe my favorite song from this playlist is King of Anything by Sara. I love this song. It just empowers me!

Favorite Fall T.V. Shows

Sunday, November 15, 2015

Fall has came and its almost over. There is only a couple more episodes until all of my Favorite Fall TV shows come to an end. There has been drama, comedy, and there is still so much left to the unknown. One of my favorite shows are just beginning while the others are hitting the center of what the season is about. I have 4 shows that I watch between Monday and Wednesday. I really don't want these shows to end but like always, there must be a finale.

Here are my top 4 shows from this season:

#ThrowBackThursday: Halloween

Thursday, November 12, 2015

I didn't dress up last year for Halloween but this year I definitely had to. It has been years since I really threw on a costume. And if Im not mistaken, the last time I went trick or treating, I was 13 and I was a princess. This year I was Catwoman! I wasn't the all black suit, cat ear head band type of Catwoman. I love the color pink and I also wanted to show my support for Breast Cancer Awareness figuring that Halloween is the last day of October. Two weeks before Halloween I had completely no idea who I was going to be. I had no costume. No makeup ideas. Nothing.

OOTD - Veterans Day

Wednesday, November 11, 2015

Happy Veterans Day everyone! I didn't have class today but I still wanted to rearrange my outfit to show the colors of our American Flag. I'm not leaving the house today so I chose these comfortable blue pants with fun and cute Hello Kitty top. Today I showed my respect and thanks to my uncle who served in the U.S. Army over 20 years ago. I want to genuinely thank every man and woman who serve our country. If it wasn't for God and you all,

Becoming A Virtuous Woman Series

Tuesday, November 10, 2015

When I was 10 years old I gave my life to Christ and got baptized. I live in the South so I grew up in a religious family that believed in going to Church and giving God all the praise and the glory that He deserves. Church is where I found my voice. I am proud to say that I one of those women that grew up in the Church and can now sing beautifully the songs of the Lord. I participated in the Choir and I was a praise dancer growing up. My family is religious and they praise and honor God but honestly they never pushed me to give my life to Him. They didn't force me to believe in something that I didn't want to. Most people are raised by parents and family that force them to know Jesus and to have a relationship with Him. You can't do that. You have to want to know Him for yourself. A relationship with Jesus is something you can't fake and it's definitely something you can't force. You have to desire to know Him in your heart.

My first #MusicMondays post in forever! This week has been definitely stressful. Ellen has got me through (as in Ellen from The Ellen Show). I love watching her during the week. She is so hilarious and she helps my stress levels hehe. This weekend I was rooting for my favorite college football team at the University of Alabama. I am a Southern Belle and I absolutely love college football. We played Lousianna State University! All I have to say is, ROLL TIDE! I love my team whether they win or lose. We still hold many championships so whether we win or not, whether we go to the championships this year or not, I still bleed crimson and white.

OOTD - UA Game Day!

Saturday, November 7, 2015

Roll Tide Roll everyone! It's game day! The Crimson Tide faces the LSU tigers tonight and I cannot wait! I am a loyal University of Alabama football fan! I am one of those people that are genuinely sad and cry when we lose. I love my Alabama football win or lose and I can't wait to see how we play tonight. I believe in my heart that Coker (our quarterback) and Henry will be star players and bring us home a win!

College Stress: How to Deal with It

Many of you might know I'm a college student and being a college student can be extremely hard and stressful sometimes. Well, all the time. I was blessed enough to start college the summer semester before my freshman year of college. It was great! I loved it! I was able to stay on campus and kind of get a feel for what it felt like to be on my own, be solely responsible for myself, and just be away from home. My grades were good, I was making friends, it was all great. Then the fall came, and instead of 10 credit hours, I had 15. That's when things started to get stressful.

 Hey y'all!

Welcome back to my blog everyone! It's been a little over a month since I've written my last blog. I did a post about my blogging update where I caught you up on what's been going on and what's to come in the future! If this is your first time visiting my blog, head on over to my welcome page and check it out. I'm so excited that you decided to read the blog today and hope you get much inspiration from it.

What's In My Bag?

                                                                          Hey y'all

Welcome back to Aiming 2 Inspire! I hope you're having a great Thursday! I'm so glad to be back writing post for you guys! It's so much fun reading your emails, messages, and tweets requesting me to do posts and ideas that you guys have. I have came up with so many new ideas for the blog since my blogging update a couple days ago and I must admit that I can't wait to share them with you guys.

Today I'll be doing a What's In My Bag post. Most of you guys probably see a lot of these on YouTube. I love watching What's In My Bag videos. Pretty much every girl has the basics of what you will have in your purse but its just fun watching people yank stuff out of their bag because you never know what might come out. Every girl is different and that's what I love most about What's In My Bag post.

How to Deal with The Death of a Loved One

Hey y'all!

In my blogging update post I shared with you guys that my old high school choir director passed away. I took it so hard. I remember the day like it was 5 seconds ago. I couldn't believe it. Mama Ross is what me and my fellow classmates called her. She was exactly what we called her, a mother. She had no children of her own but over the course of 30 years she taught thousands of students at the historic Ramsay High School. She was the perfect definition of a woman of God. No matter what I was going through she always knew just what to say, just what to do. She always had the perfect scripture to tell us that related to whatever we was going through in life at the time. She was God's angel to us. God allowed her to do more than just teach us how to sing. She taught us, the best way she knew how, what life was and how to conquer it with God.

Blogging Update! Happy November!

Tuesday, November 3, 2015

Hey y'all!

Whoa! It's definitely been a long time since I've written my last post. There has been so much going on in the month of October with school and my personal life. I haven't had the time to just sit down and blog until this very day. October came and went by so fast. Although I haven't been blogging, I've been researching how to make a major comeback after my time off and I must say I am super excited!

National Coffee Day!

Wednesday, September 30, 2015

Hey yall!
Happy National Coffee Day! My love for coffee is unexplainable. I have to have some form of caffeine in my system at least 3-4 times a month. I started drinking coffee my first semester of college (Summer 2014). One of my friends took me to Starbucks on our college campus. I asked her to make her best suggestion to me. I wanted something sweet and chocolaty because I had been really stressed that week with school. Surprisingly, the cashier got my name right the first time. I saved that cup too I was so shocked. Anyway, she suggested the mocha cookie crumble which Starbucks don't have on their menu anymore. I instantly fell in love.

OOTD - Way Back Wednesday!

Hey yall!

It's Wednesday! Empire comes on tonight! That's really why most people look forward to Wednesdays don't ya think? My favorite character has to be cookie of course! Her style and her character is something else. Who's your favorite character on Empire? Scroll down below to my poll and vote. When the season finale airs I will post the results to my blog!

You can never get tired of Empire, but we must move on to the post for the day! Here is my Outfit of The Day from Way Back. I took these pictures on July 4th, not even knowing that I will have a blog two months later. I wanted to show my... "Celebratory Feelings" (Jesus I couldn't find a word for that). So I wore a white top with some red lipstick. I thought adding a navy blue piece would just be too much. Everyone was trying to incorporate all three colors in their outfit and I just wanted to stand out and be different.

#62MillionGirls

In elementary school, I learned what hard work was. It may seem irrelevant now but I struggled with my time tables in the 3rd grade. It took awhile for me to get them all down pack. It took practice and determination. Not only was I taught to practice and taught that determination to learn but I was taught in school to never give up. I couldn't just give up in 3rd grade because I didn't know what 9 times 4 was. I couldn't just give up because I didn't place in the math derby that year. School strengthen me. It gave me a confidence that is now stronger than ever.

#MusicMondays

Hey yall!

Today is Monday! Where did the weekend go? If you were like me this morning, I did not want to get up. I snoozed my alarm so many times it's awful. If you can imagine, I'm not blogging from my desk, but from the comfort of my own bed. That's a Monday for ya. And what makes it even worse is that the sun is not shining and it's supposed to be cloudy all this week! Bummer. I've been working on my pictures and hopefully I'll have some good quality pictures to post for you guys.

How to: Have a Yard Sale

Happy Sunday Dolls and Gents!

Looking for an extra way to earn some cash? Do you have over a gazillion clothes in your closet that you don't even wear? Are you turning into a hoarder? Well this post is just for you! This past weekend my family and I had a yard sale and it was very successful!

5 Ways to Boost Your Mood!

Friday, September 25, 2015

Hey Dolls and Gents!

Sometimes we just don't feel our best, it's understandable. We're not perfect! We're just human beings all trying to make it in life. When I'm not in the best of moods I tend to do these 5 things and I want to share them with you!

I nominate you.... for the Liebster Award!

Thursday, September 24, 2015

Hey Dolls and Gents!

Soooo, this is only my 3rd blog and I'm already getting nominated for stuff! How cool is that?! Vianca from Smiley Shares nominated me for the Liebster Award and if I must say it is a great honor. Especially being a new blogger. I started this blog just yesterday not knowing how it would turn out. I know its only been 24 hours but I think its off to a great start. I've read so many of Vianca's blogs and my favorite one is when she does "Songs of the Week"! I absolutely love the fact that you share your musical interests with the world. Her blog is definitely an inspiration to Aiming2Inspire!

National Daughter Day - A Letter to My (Future) Daughter(s)

Wednesday, September 23, 2015

The first day of Fall, the premiere of Empire, AND its National Daughter Day. My Mom is my everything. I love her with all my being. I'm sure that's how everyone feels about their Mom. Mom's are awesome. They clean your room, do your laundry, and make all your meals. It's our duty as daughters to support our mothers, love them, and be there for them when they need us. I want my daughters to be just as good as a daughter that I am to my mother and even better. No one is perfect. There is plenty of times I could have been a better daughter to my mother. I'm definitely not saying I was that "rebel" type daughter. But I definitely had those teenage moments where I thought I knew it all, even better than my mother, and life whooped my butt in the process.

Hi, Hey, Hello!

Hi Dolls and Gents!,

My name is Tanisha and I'm starting a blog! As you can tell, I'm super excited and I can't wait to see where this blog goes. I made an About Me page that can be found in the right hand corner on my blog website. Just to finish that up, I am a sophomore in college and next month I'll be 20 years old. My teen years have been great. I have had a lotta ups and a lotta downs but as intimidating as your 20s could be I'm ready to see what they have in store. This blog is specifically about myself and the life experiences I go through or different things I might encounter along the way in my 20s. For the next 10 years I plan to talk about my lifestyle: College, Style, TV shows, Movies, Books, Relationships, Reviews, etc. I hope that through this blog my readers will be able to relate to some of the things I'm going to post about, and most of all be able to help you guys in similar situations. Feel free to comment yall! Can you tell where I'm from? A true southern belle. Feedback is encouraged and much appreciated. Follow me on my other social media outlets as well! Oh, and Happy First Day of Fall! :)
